Sale pending. This special Eldorado was built for Bill Mitchell, head of design at General Motors for over 20 years. Mitchell is known to have had over 50 cars custom built for his personal use over his 40 year tenure at GM. He started his career at GM under the tutelage of Harley Earl who was the first person at GM to hold the position of "head of design'. Bill Mitchell was the second. Mitchell oversaw GM design throughout the 60's and 70's. He retired in 1977. This Bill Mitchell Eldorado is nearly 100% original and displays many features unique to this one-off factory build! Only 3,600 original miles (miles exempt on title because of age). Mitchell had a triple baby blue Eldorado built for his personal use a few years prior to this yellow car.(see photo).
