1940 Packard 160 Business Coupe
1 of 88 Only Built!
This 1940 Packard One Sixty Business Coupe is 1 of just 88 produced! It's a Senior Packard with a Super Eight engine yet Packard elected to offer it in a lowly business coupe body and only 88 customers signed up for one. Most automobile makes offered a business coupe for the travelling salesman at an affordable price on their most basic model. The back seat is eliminated to allow space for product. I think it's safe to say that the salesman who ordered a Packard One Sixty business coupe was at the top of his game! This particular Packard sold new in San Francisco and remained in California until 2011 when it joined the Gene Cohen collection in Sarasota Florida. It was restored years ago while in California and still shows very nice. The Super Eight motor is teamed to three speed manual transmission with overdrive.
